Cordless screwdrivers have largely replaced manual screwdrivers, yet Yankee screwdrivers
have remained popular with woodworkers. The biggest problem has always been finding
driver bits for them. This automatic screwdriver is an economical alternative to the highpriced, genuine Yankee driver. It accepts standard 1/4” hex shank, ball detent driver bits
without an adapter. Just pull back on the quick chuck’s sleeve to insert or remove a bit.
Measures 17” overall. Includes a #1 and #2 Phillips bit, #6-8 and #8-10 slotted bits, and a
1/16” drill bit.
Sometimes you don’t have power and sometimes, you just want to work with your hands. The
ratchet brace is chrome-plated for corrosion resistance and has a four-jaw chuck that accepts
round or hex shank bits up to 1/2”. The ratchet movement has 12 points, and the locking
mechanism works in three positions: locked, clockwise and counterclockwise. You can lean
on the brace’s palm grip to apply lots of pressure on the bit. You’ll find you have tremendous
torque control and you don’t need batteries.
