Precision alloy steel serrated steel rails are plated for corrosion protection and work together
with high strength alloy cast clamping arms to provide high clamp force. Guaranteed not to
slip for consistent clamping pressure. Patented design includes a precision hardened setscrew
in the moveable clamping arm that interlocks with the serrated steel rail for consistent
no-slip clamping. The fixed jaw and the sliding arm are made of malleable alloy cast iron
for powerful 1,000 lbs. rigid clamping force. Fixed jaw is securely fitted under pressure to
the clamping rail, eliminating rivets or fastener connections found in other clamps. Powder
coating protects the clamping arms against corrosion. Ergonomic soft-grip composite handles
are combined with a roll-formed threaded spindle for easy, powerful clamping by hand with
reduced physical effort. Optional clamping-force indicator is available for those of you who
need to know exactly how much force is being applied to the workpiece; simple green/red
gauge ring indicates when 700 lbs. of force has been applied. Plastic protective caps are
included for standard pressure pad and anvil surface. The 12” weighs 3.3 lbs., the 18” weighs
4.05 lbs., and the 24” weighs 4.8 lbs. Imported.

From 6” to 36”, the Bessey Clutch-Style Bar Clamps produce 600-lb. clamping force and load
capacity. The jaws are ductile cast iron with powder coating for corrosion resistance, and the
3/4” x 1/4” rail is nickel-plated serrated steel. The clamp face is 1-1/8” x 1-5/8”. The two-piece
clutch plates keep the jaw sturdy and in place. The throat depth is 2-1/2” for all sizes. A 1”
swivel pad on the anvil surface helps to grip uneven surfaces. Both upper and lower pads
(replaceable) are non-marring. The 3-1/2” L handle is wood. Imported.

Speedy setups, anti-slip mechanism

The Bessey Rapid-Action Clamp has several nice features that will speed up the clamping
process. First, the double-spindle mechanism: the internal mechanism moves twice as far
per turn of the handle as the normal ACME threaded spindle. You get there faster! Then,
the clamping bolt and pressure plate are made from a single piece and are guided firmly in
the barrel for “no-twist” clamping. There’s no reason for your part to try to “squirm out.”The
antislip mechanism meshes with the serrations on the rail, so the more pressure that’s
applied, the more the setscrew engages with the rail and reduces slippage. All clamps have a
4” throat and provide 1,320-lbs. clamping force. The steel handle is 3-1/2” L. Imported.
