Miller Dowel Joinery
Kit Includes

A dowel joint is only as good as the line-up of the holes used to hold the pieces of wood. If
you are “off” by a silly millimeter, it won’t look good, especially to your perfectionist eye. The
E-Z Pro Doweling Jig is designed to produce precision edge-to-edge, right angle and edge-tosurface joints. Three sizes (1/4”, 5/16” and 3/8”) of dowels are included while the jig has three
drilling positions to accommodate 5/8”, 3/4” and 1” thick materials. A steel stop allows you to
vary the depth of cut. The kit includes: a doweling jig, 1/4”, 5/16” and 3/8” brad point drill bits,
dowel and tenon set from 3/16” ID to 1/2” OD, 1/4”, 5/16” and 3/8” drill stops and 10 each 1/4”,
5/16” and 3/8” dowel pins. Imported.

B
A superior natural joinery system
Tool Accessories
You may have guessed it already, but we’re big on screws. Yet, even we have to admit there
are times when natural joinery just looks better. The problem has been that natural joinery
takes a lot longer to pull off, so compromises, such as screw caps, have been around for some
time.
The Miller Dowel system comes close to finally bridging the gap between the convenience
and strength of screws and the aesthetic joy and superior material interaction of natural
joinery. The key to the system resides with the patented, stepped design of the Miller Dowel
and its corresponding drill bit.
To use the Miller Dowel system, you simply align and secure the wood pieces to be joined.
Next, you drill the stepped pilot hole for your chosen dowel, using the Miller Dowel drill bit.
Spread a small amount of glue on the ribbed sections of your dowel, and insert it so that it
drops roughly two-thirds of its length. It will self-center with the second board even if you
haven’t pre-glued. Tap the dowel until it’s fully inserted, and trim or sand the raised portion.
It’s that easy to use, and by doing so, you avoid the risks of rot, rust, nail pops or splitting.
The Miller Dowel system comes in a number of different materials: (Birch, Cherry, Red Oak, &
Walnut). Select 1X kits for joining wood pieces up to 1-1/8”, 2X for wood pieces up to 1-5/8”
and the Mini X for joining 1/2” stock (maximum 3/4”). Imported.
