These button plugs are slightly tapered to ensure a tight fit. When fully seated, the domed
head will protrude above the wood surface. The grain runs in the direction of the plug
thickness, as if it were cut from a dowel. Tenon is 1/8”L with a 2º taper.

If you select grain pattern and color carefully, grain orientation of these plugs will allow
you to match the grain and disguise the unwanted screw hole. These plugs also avoid the
darkening effect experienced when finishing end grain plugs. Length is 1/4” with a 2º taper.
