Wow! These super-long screws will make you put your hammer away forever! No more
drilling 1/2” holes for rusty rebar, then slugging away with a sledge hammer for hours. With
a self-drilling point, these screws go into pressure-treated lumber like a hot knife through
butter. They won’t back out like nails and they offer substantially greater holding power.
The new Spider™ Drive (like an 8-point star) works great (you get a free bit with each pack
of 25, 3 bits per carton). The 3/16” shank has approximately 2” of 1/4-dia. threads and an
oversize 5/8”-dia. x 1/16”-thick head. A special black epoxy corrosion-resistant coating is
extra slippery. Use of these screws in Redwood or Western Red Cedar is likely to result in
discoloration.

316 stainless steel hex-head extra long screws are perfect for seaside exterior construction
where access is difficult or corrosion resistance is important. They offer superior corrosion
resistance and strength compare to 305 stainless screws. Their feature is a lobed thread
design for reduced splitting and driving resistance. Thread diameter is .188. For more robust
projects use the SDH screws with a thread diameter of .276 and a 1/2 hex head. Imported.
