Fasten engineered beams without predrilling!
Now you can assemble multi-ply Laminated Engineered Lumber such as LVL (Laminated
Veneer Lumber), LSL (Laminated Strand Lumber) and PSL (Parallel Strand Lumber) easily and
quickly. TrussLok screws have special winged points to create their own clearance hole and
an extended unthreaded shank to prevent board jacking. They’re available in lengths to allow
installation from one side only and have a 3/8” hex head. A corrosion-resistant, anti-friction
coating allows installation with either a 1/2” corded variable-speed drill or a 18V cordless drill.
Screw length is measured from tip to underside of head – select the longest screw that is
shorter than the overall thickness of the assembled beam. Each package of fasteners includes
a free hex drive bit.

Lag Screws are designed for the really big jobs-building docks, decks and wharfs. Installed
properly, they have outstanding holding power, and do not need to be re-tightened
frequently, as is sometimes the case with bolted connections. We offer these tough lags in
either 18-8 stainless steel or hot-dip galvanized. All 1/4 lag screws have a 7/16” hex head.
