R4™ Multipurpose Screws
A
GRK’s R4™ screws have some of the most advanced technology around for faster screw
driving with a whole lot less effort and no pilot holes required. Pilot holes are only needed
if the building-material manufacturer requires it. Always check with the manufacturer’s
literature for installation recommendations. The patented nib design under the head acts
like a saw blade with six self-contained cutting pockets. So, you can countersink these
screws into even the hardest of exotic woods. The threads are extremely aggressive, so they
can even be used on fibrous material like OSB. The screws 2” and longer also have a “CEE”
four-threaded portion that enlarges the hole, reducing friction and increasing the “drawing
strength” for the nonthreaded portion. The longer screws are much easier to drive. These
screws can be used in all woods and plastic applications without shredding or cracking
the surface. The 90º angle under the screw head fits perfectly into pre-countersunk holes
for hardware brackets, making these great for hinges and locks. They can also be used for
decking, stairs and general residential construction. Equipped with star drive recess. Stated
lengths are “soft conversions” from metric lengths. Some sizes are available in 305 stainless
steel. All of the GRK stainless steel products come with a limited lifetime warranty against

The GRK Cabinet™ screw is specifically designed for cabinet construction and installation
with a #8 head - thin enough to prevent splitting, and lengths from 1-1/4” to 3-1/8.” They have
a built-in washer head to press flush against any cabinet surface for a secure installation.
These cabinet screws have self-tapping fine threads with a W-Cut thread for low installation
torque and a Zip-Tip point for easy installation. Pilot holes are only needed if the buildingmaterial manufacturer requires it. Always check with the manufacturer’s literature for
installation recommendations. In some cases, short cabinet screws have been used in
vinyl-siding installation. For this purpose, all cabinet screws are coated with GRK’s exclusive
