Bleeder Spray Guns
Bleeder spray guns have a continuous flow of air through the air cap when the
HVLP turbine is “on”. Bleeder spray guns are the original style HVLP spray gun
supplied with Apollo turbine spray systems. They are simple in design, extremely
reliable and very easy to clean and maintain. The perception that the continuous
air flow will displace dust and dirt in the spray area and work-shop, or in any way
affect the performance when spraying, is incorrect. These misconceptions originated
when HVLP manufacturers began offering non-bleeder style HVLP spray guns and
circulated inaccurate information to promote the alternative non-bleeder concept.
HVLP manufacturers continue to successfully offer bleeder style spray guns. Apollo
5000 Series bleeder style spray guns have a proven history, proven performance and
have even been copied by other HVLP producers..
Non-Bleeder Spray Guns
Non-Bleeder HVLP spray guns do not bleed air when the HVLP turbine is “on” until
the trigger on the spray gun is pulled back. Non-bleeder spray guns are slightly
more complex than bleeder style HVLP spray guns. Non-bleeder HVLP spray guns
require a turbine system to have some form of air relief to prevent backflow air
pressure to the motor. This air relief can be internal or external. All current models
of Apollo Sprayers have internal air relief built into all systems. Older model
sprayers will require an external air relief valve A7538A if a non-bleeder spray gun
is to be used with older models.

The 7500 series has a unique spray gun design with three different cup configurations:
Gravity Feed has three cup sizes, Pressure Feed has two cup sizes and Production supports a
2-qt. pot or larger. It’s made from marine-grade stainless steel with no O-rings for maximum
durability. Color-coded air caps make changing nozzles and needle a snap. Each model comes
complete with a bronze-plated spray head, precision fan control through the Xpansive™ Fan
Control Ring, MicroTech™ Atomization Technology for atomizing particles and a two-year
warranty.
The APS-5011 is supplied with 1 qt. Teflon®-coated assembly, stainless steel material filter,
duckbill valve, carrying case, spare parts kit and wrench. Weight: 32.4 oz.
The APS-7000 includes a carrying case and a 600cc Teflon®-coated gravity cup. Weight: 33.0
oz.
The APS-7700QT features a 1 qt. nonstick coated cup assembly, duckbill valve, deluxe
carrying case, spare parts kit, stainless steel material filter, sample bottle of genuine Apollo
Spray Gun Lube and a spanner wrench. Weight: 32.4 oz.
The APS-7700GT features a 20 fl. oz. nonstick coated gravity cup, duckbill valve, deluxe
carrying case, spare parts kit, sample bottle of genuine Apollo Spray Gun Lube and a spanner
wrench. Weight: 25.2 oz.
The APS-7700MT features an 8 fl. oz. mini touch-up cup assembly, duckbill valve, carrying
case, spare parts kit, stainless steel material filter, sample bottle of genuine Apollo Spray
Gun Lube and a spanner wrench. Weight: 20.3 oz.
The APS-7700T features a deluxe carrying case, spare parts kit, sample bottle of genuine
Apollo Spray Gun Lube and a spanner wrench. Ready to use with any pressure pot or cup
