Simple system for sturdy bed frames

This simple system uses threaded inserts and a threaded rod to create a sturdy bed-rail
connection. Just drill a 35mm (1-3/8”) dia. flat-bottom hole in the bed rail and a 5/8”
through-hole perpendicular to it for the threaded rod and nut. Bore a 17/32” hole for the
5/16-18 threaded insert in the bedpost, centering it between two alignment dowels (not
included). To assemble, the bolt is threaded into the insert, the nut is threaded onto the
bolt, then the bolt is slipped into the rail. Finally, a curved, slotted washer is slipped behind
the nut, and the nut is tightened. Includes inserts, bolts, nuts, curved washers and wrench.

Now you can pull two parts together (two table leaves, for instance), align the surfaces,
and lock them in position, all with one draw catch. A U-shaped plate aligns with the catch
assembly, then the catch securely locks with the mounting plate to prevent separation.
Stamped from 14-ga. steel, these heavy duty, yellow zinc plated catches have countersunk
mounting holes for #6 flat head screws but may also be used with #8s (order separately).

The Electric Trim Ring (ETR) was designed to dress up the outlet access hole cut into the
back of a cabinet for either a single or double outlet box. The versatile ring can be adjusted
for the depth of the cabinet because it is marked in 1/4” increments for trimming. Outside
dimensions are 6-1/4” W x 6-1/4” H, inside dimensions are 3-1/8” W x 4-7/8” H, and total depth
is 1-1/4”. ETR rings are a standard white or Hardrock Maple.

They may be designed for connecting bed rails to the bed posts, but we’re sure you’ll see
many other applications for them. Made with 1/8” thick steel bodies, swaged hooks on the
bed-rail piece fit through slots in the bedpost plate, locking tighter with increasing weight.
Requires six #10 mounting screws per pair; minimum suggested length is 1-1/2.” Order the
length best suited to your application but longer is better. Set contains four pairs (enough for
a bed, of course). Each is about 6” L x 5/8” W. Yellow-zinc plated. Imported.
