Are you tired of working harder than your drill? Are you tired of leaving burn marks on your
wood from drilling too slow and heating up the bit? Then leave the drudgery behind by
putting a brand new edge on all those old drill bits lying around your shop. The versatile Drill
Doctor 500 X sharpens your dull drill bits from 3/32” to 1/2” dia. (English, metric and letter
sizes) and both 118º- and 135º-point angles. An optional chuck allows you to sharpen bits
up to 3/4” dia. You can sharpen high-speed steel jobber bits, carbide-tipped bits, masonry bits,
cobalt and titanium drill bits. You can even add a split point to any drill bit to increase your
drilling speed by back cutting the cutting edge of the bit. One-piece alignment improves
the precision of the ground angles. Longer jaws with guides hold the bits more securely so
that even the smallest do not twist during sharpening. The Drill Doctor 500 X has a castaluminum shuttle for durability and comes with an instructional DVD.

Has the time consuming sharpening process using traditional oil-stones left you with tools
that just aren’t as sharp as you would like? Do you cringe when a chisel edge is nicked,
knowing that it may take hours to restore the edge? Do you delay resharpening tools because
you can’t stand the often messy process? Now there is a fast, efficient, easy-to-use system
that makes sharpening so satisfying that you may take all the hair off your arms “testing”
your edges!
The Work Sharp 3000 was developed to make sharpening fast, easy and consistent. It uses
pressure sensitive, adhesive backed abrasives on a dead flat 6” x 0.400” thick wheel of
tempered float glass. Unlike high-speed grinders that can overheat the tool and ruin the
temper, the Work Sharp 3000 turns at just 580 rpm and the built-in sharpening ports help
cool the edge. The sharpening port accommodates plane irons up to 2” W and provides four
preset sharpening angles (20º, 25º, 30º and 35º).
Many systems can sharpen planes and chisels, but few can put an edge on carving or lathe
tools. Working from beneath a slotted see through wheel allows you to define and hone
these tools while watching the action. An optional leather strop allows for final honing.
The Work Sharp 3000 includes two glass wheels, one slotted see through wheel, one top
tool rest for extra wide blades, a starter assortment of 11 PSA abrasives (120 to 3600 grit).
