FastCap® has continued to expand its line of “Hand” products and related dust-barrier items. The “Hand” products operate like a caulking gun, squeeze the grip and extend the length. A
quick-release ratchet rapidly advances the durable 1/2” steel rod to its usable length. Each can support 150 lbs. When you need something lifted and you’re alone, these lifts can come in
mighty handy. All items are imported.
First they have a Little Hand, which extends from 16-1/2” to 22-13/16” and can be used on top of installed lower cabinets to support the upper cabinets during installation or to support a sink
during its installation. A 6” x 6” universal foot can be used to stabilize and to micro adjust the height to which it is extended.
The Upper Hand is a mid-sized “Hand” product that extends from 28” – 60” and can be used to install upper cabinets when the lower cabinets have not yet been installed. They function in the
same manner as the Little Hand and 3rd Hand products and also have the 6” x 6” universal foot.
Have you ever wished your 3rd Hands were lighter when setting up a Dust Barrier? The New Light Duty 3rd Hand is constructed of a sturdy 1-1/16” aluminum rod and only weighs 1.5 lbs.

with a load capacity of 20 lbs.
The 3rd Hand lift extends from 57” – 12’ and can be used for holding crown molding, upper cabinet installation, laser mounting or to create a dust barrier. The 3rd Hand has ball detents
for rough length adjustments prior to engaging the ratchet handle. It comes with a 3” x 3” foot, but the 6” x 6” universal can be purchased separately when more stabilization is required. A
connector kit is also available when more height is needed than the standard 3rd Hand allows.
The 3rd Hand can be purchased in a four-pack (FSC-3050) with door magnets (FSC-3044) and a carrying case for RRP (Renovation, Repair and Painting) projects required by the EPA for
hazardous lead containment. Additionally, there are several Magnetic Dust Barrier options available for creating the containment area with preformed plastic, magnetic strips, door magnets
(neodymium magnets in a curved plastic shell sold in packs of four to grip around the 1/2” pipe) and 3rd Hand poles. The full, upgraded Magnetic Dust Barrier Door System has replaced the
bottom threshold strip with a Stiff Sweep at the bottom of the door for better closing and dust containment. Plus, a clear window lets more light in and allows you to see who is coming
through the door. The door magnets are now even stronger than before for more secure door closing. For light-duty dust barriers, FastCap also has spring-loaded dust barrier poles (29” to
50”), similar to shower curtain rods. You can make your own combination of products or buy the Magnetic Dust Barrier Door System complete.
