PSA Sanding Disks
A
Big furniture factories have been using abrasive planers
to surface lumber for years! The swirly grain patterns of
highly figured woods like curly maple suffer from tearout
problems that are eliminated when the “chips” are really
just sawdust. You couldn’t use just any abrasive or you
would be changing belts every other board. Aluminazirconia is just two steps below diamond in hardness, so
it really stands up to the abuse. These are only available
in coarse grits (abrasive planing isn’t very practical with
320 grit!) and are designed specifically for maximum stock
removal and abrasive life. A #4 butt splice allows you to
run these belts in either direction. Imported.

Klingspor industrial sanding belts. At this low price, you’d
think these are cheapo belts that won’t hold up under
normal sanding pressure. WRONG. These are the same
premium quality, heavy cloth-backed, #4 butt-joined, resin
coated, aluminum-oxide belts we sell individually. Each
box contains six sleeves of belts in the following grits: one
sleeve 180-240 (fine), two sleeves 120-150 (med-fine), two
sleeves 80-100 (medium) and one sleeve 50-60 (coarse).
Depending on the size, there are either five or six belts
per sleeve.

adhesive sanding disks could not be more convenient for
big sanding jobs. Just pull on the carrier and the disk pops
right off. No slippery little white backing disks to clutter

with semi-open coat formulation. Note: Not for use with
waterborne finishes.
