CMT Forstner Bits

Until you try them, you won’t believe that a forstner bit can be this inexpensive and still
perform this well. CMT sharpens top-quality imported bits in their own Italian factory. That
results in a top-quality forstner bit at an affordable price.
Guided by the rim rather than a center spur, forstner bits bore flat-bottomed holes, which
may be overlapped or enter at odd angles. Use caution with small bits (3/8” to 5/8”), because
they do not have a great deal of space available for chip ejection. Bits over 7/8” have a
sawtooth rim for improved performance. Made of high-speed steel, these bits start sharp and
stay sharp longer than bits made of ordinary tool steel. The shank is 3/8” dia. and with an
overall length is 3-35/64”. Imported.
